Correspondence, clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, genealogical data, and writings centered around Col. Thomas Claiborne (1823-1911), lawyer, editor, and soldier, and his daughter, Mollie Maxwell Claiborne (1855-1941), both of Nashville, Tennessee. Of particular note is a manuscript entitled Rescued records and memories, an unpublished book-length work based on the letters of Thomas Claiborne which was written by Mollie Claiborne in 1931.
